It's possible to play offline without any internet connection. However, this mode is very limited and you will be able to only play through the chapters and equip gear you owned prior to going offline.

Since the rest of the features require internet connection, you won't have access to the store, you won't be able to  upgrade, craft or dismantle any gear, you won't be able to level up, receive messages or complete milestones.
